History of United Christian Fellowship

United Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church

"If the folk scatter, it would be bad. We need to meet the needs of the people."

In late 1998, after much prayer and reflection, members of our Mother Church, Antioch, felt called to form a new place of worship to keep the congregation united. Thus, United Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church was established on November 15, 1998, at the home of Deacon and Mrs. Andrew J. McGhee II. Worship services began on January 1, 1999, at Betts and Son Funeral Home in Oxford, NC, with Reverend Ezekiel K. Best III as pastor.

From the start, we embraced the mission of being a ministering church, offering regular worship, prayer services, choir rehearsals, missionary meetings, and leadership training. Our members actively participated in General Baptist State Music Conferences and Conventions.

With a vision for a permanent home, we established a Building Fund, and through the generous donation of land by Mrs. Ernestine Kinton and her grandsons, we secured a site on Salem Road. In June 2005, United Christian Fellowship was officially incorporated. With the dedication and unity of our members, Vance Construction was selected to build our church, which was dedicated in November 2006.

We thank Almighty God for His blessings and pray for continued strength to walk in faith, uphold the Christian banner, and remain united in fellowship and service.

"To God Be the Glory."
